Lens Design Options
Progressive / Varifocal LensesProgressive aka Varifocal and multifocal lenses allow you to see from distance and mid ranges and up to near for reading. They get progressively strong (hence the name) from the top going down towards the bottom, allowing you to have just one pair of glasses to accommodate most of your daily vision requirements, from driving, shopping, reading and computer work etc.
Progressive lenses provide a smooth transition from distance correction to near correction, eliminating segment lines and allowing clear vision at all distances, including intermediate; roughly arms' length. Like most things over time technology has improved progressive lens designs greatly, this chart gives a simple over view of the progression of progressive lenses and the quality or range of vision you can expect as well as how easy they are to adapt to.
At Waipapa Eyecare we provide elite and ultimate level progressive lenses only. In doing so we not only ensured you get the best vision possible from your lenses, we also can provide them at prices that match or often are of better value than some other providers that still sell you premium and even standard lenses.
