Waipapa Eyecare is owned and operated by Chloe & Douglas. Chloe has been a qualified optometrist since graduating with first class honours in 1999 from Auckland University.

Chloe began practicing optometry in New Market Auckland before moving with Douglas to work in the UK for a couple of years. Upon returning to New Zealand Chloe and Douglas worked and lived in Tauranga before moving to open our own practice and start a family.

Douglas looks after the dispensing (that’s the glasses bit) and gets the lucky task of also doing all the paperwork side of the business.

Thanks to the great support we have had from our clients Ezra has joined us as our optical assistant. She is the lovely person who will mostly likely be the first person you will talk with when you call or pop in to make an appointment.

Ezra or Doug will both happily help you choose frames and lenses or make adjustments to your existing frame anytime.

The main difference you will notice at Waipapa Eyecare compared to most other practices these days is although the equipment is all the latest modern digital technology the service is still old fashion.

We have invested in the latest optical diagnostic equipment, making your eye exam through and comfortable. We have a full digital dispensing system to take your glasses measurements, ensuring you get the best results from your investment in new frame and lenses. Plus it can also photograph you wearing multiply different frames so you can see what you look like in any frame before you make your choice.

Our on-site lab service means we can provide many glasses in less than 1 hour. If you are just updating your existing lenses then you won't need to go without them for weeks on end either, we can fit most new lenses while you wait.

With all this technology at Waipapa Eyecare we believe it means very little if you don't provide great service!
